By accessing or using PrivTranslate, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

2. Service Description

PrivTranslate is a client-side translation tool that processes text and image translations locally in your browser using WebGPU and open-source AI models. The service is provided free of charge during beta.

3. User Responsibilities

• Use the service only for lawful purposes
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the translation models
• Respect copyright and intellectual property rights of content you translate
• Understand that AI translations may not be 100% accurate

6. Intellectual Property

The service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by PrivTranslate. The TranslateGemma model is open-source software developed by Google. Your translated content remains your property.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where PrivTranslate is operated. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Significant changes will be posted on this page.
